Girl's Morning Out

I enjoy a girl's night out with my daughters every so often. We had a difficult time scheduling this year and ended up with a morning out. Another tradition we have each year is we get together to dip chocolates. With everyone's busy schedules we ended up cancelling that and everyone brought a pre-made treat to share at our breakfast. I had a great time. Pictured here is me, Denise and Renee'. I want Denise to know I treasure her as a daughter every bit as much as my own children. She is a great addition to our family. Cynthia was able to bring her oldest daughter, Callie, this year. And I think each grandchild has had their opportunity to tag along throughout the years as they are too young to stay home. So this was Matthew's lucky year. He is my newest grandchild. I am glad he and Callie could be with us this year. Cathy's newest, Abigail, was also with us. I love her too.
I'm perfectly happy with my candy this year. There was plenty and it was all delicious.

We have the unfortunate tradition of making faces for the camera. I don't know who these two girls are. I think we found them at the restaurant having their once-a-year day out. I love my family. There is nothing better on earth than spending time with them. Thank you, all, for the fun and laughter.

I had a great time too! Thank you for scheduling the girl's morning out and the candy exchange. I thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with my mom and sisters and especially the yummy candy afterwards.

I was very glad that the girls day was scheduled so that I could come too. I miss my family very much when I am far away. I thoroughly enjoy every moment I get to spend with all of my family. I love you all.

I agree about the fun and yumminess. I missed out for so many years when I lived far away. I'm glad I get to be a part of this tradition now. And thanks, Mama, for starting the candy-making tradition in the first place. We don't have to be one of those boring families who can only make sugar cookies for Christmas. :)
